Although I was glad for the new content, I didn't really find the Instead of serving up the sequel that we all so eagerly await, Telltale Games has released The Walking Dead: 400 Days DLC to whet our appetites for the main event. The DLC features five different survivors, playing through from day one of the zombie apocalypse to day 400. FTG Writes: Mortal Kombat (or Mortal Kombat 9, if you prefer) released in 2011 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It was an amazing return to what made the original three entries in the franchise so engaging, and added a competitive twist. At last, it has come to the PC platform as Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. Instead of NetherRealm Studios bringing the game to the PC, High Voltage Software (the folks who brought us The Conduit) took up porting duties.

At its core, Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded is a game to play at a leisurely pace. If you want to enjoy it, you need to take the time to explore and find all the dialogue and notice the little details they put in each screen.

With studios like Telltale Games working to push forward a new era in adventure game storytelling, Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded feels as dated as his titular outerwear. Theres something to be said for the simple joy of strolling through the newly refreshed environments of Sierras classic and to hearing all of these beloved characters actually speak for the first time, but it isnt enough. The immature humor and outdated, borderline offensive treatment of women all works within the context of the fiction, but never has it been more clear that its time for Larry to grow up.

Telltale Games gave us a remarkable look at the zombie apocalypse with the 2012 release, The Walking Dead. Done more as a point and click adventure rather than an action title, The Walking Dead was divided into five episodes, and caused us to deeply care about the two main characters, Lee and Clementine. The ending of that game was left open, making way for a Season Two, which hopefully will hit consoles this year in time for the premiere of season four for the AMC television series. Getting some DLC for the game (and at a nice bargain price of 4.99 USD) was a welcome surprise. While The Walking Dead: 400 Days does nothing in furthering the story weve followed for five episodes, it does give us some extra glimpses into the universe created by Robert Kirkmans long running comic book series. The DLC may be short (its five stories plus an epilogue can be played in an hour and a half), but its well worth your time.

A new world record has been set for the fastest speedrun of Half-Life 2. In a video released earlier today by the SourceRuns team, Half-Life 2 is completed (in segments by a team of people) in an amazing one hour, twenty-seven minutes and fifty-one seconds. The video is perhaps one of the most entertaining speedruns weve seen, and its occasionally hilarious to watch these highly skilled players stacking up ridiculous objects during the unskippable story segments.

Apogee Software has confirmed that the Unreal Engine 3-based Rise of the Triad will be available for the PC on 31 July via Steam, GOG.com and other sources. The FPS is a remake by Interceptor Entertainment of the eponymous classic shooter, and will contain five playable characters in the singleplayer campaign and 15 characters to choose from in the multiplayer portion of the game.
