News::ZTGD | WildStar (PC) Impressions

Jae Lee writes: After being an on and off player of WoW for many years, I called it quits for good around the release of the Pandaria expansion and tried some other MMOs from time to time. However, when Guild Wars 2 came along, it rekindled my love for the genre with its forward thinking design choices, and blew away all my preconceived notions of what an MMO was in the first place. Unfortunately, even that initial honeymoon period was short lived after I reached max level and saw most of what the game had to offer. When I heard of Wildstar, I hoped that it would have the same effect GW2 had, and while I wasnt quite blown away, its still a solid foundation that fans of the genre will have a blast exploring.

"Once upon a time, an indie developer released a 4X game called Endless Space. It was very dense, feature rich game that I bought and then was frankly too intimidated by to try to learn properly. The level of customisation and granularity of the whole experience was super intimidating. Endless Legend is, as you might cleverly deduce from the naming convention, a fantasy spin on this 4x experience from the same developers, and its available right now on Steams Early Access program. But should you care?" says Calmdowntom

WC writes: Since acquiring both ECW and WCW, Vince McMahons WWE has become the veritable titan in the sports entertainment industry. Their Then. Now. Forever. ethos has been exemplified on their recent video archive, the WWE Network, their Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, and every episode of Raw where Michael Cole refers to a flying elbow as shades of Randy Savage. Most recently, this mentality has been at the center of the last two installments of 2Ks WWE video game series, with the Attitude Era being represented in 2012, and 30 Years of Wrestlemania being showcased last year. With Sting finally signing his Legends contract, its the perfect opportunity for the upcoming 2K15 installment to honor World Championship Wrestling and show off some of their more entertaining storylines.

News::Watch Dogs Review - GOS

GOS: "Watch Dogs has a lot going for it. Its an open-world action game with its own identity. There are plenty of things to do, sites to see, people to kill, but the close to lackluster online features makes it feel like half of a game. However, it gives you plenty of reasons to keep playing after you beat the single player campaign, and I also appreciated how the story brought us the subject of Big Brother without being preachy. If Ubisoft wanted to bring up the subject without starting controversy they did a great job of it within Watch Dogs story."

Siliconera: "What makes writing a playtest for Shovel Knight tricky is that its a game unabashedly designed to inspire nostalgia. Theres some Mega Man in here, some Castlevania, some Super Mario Bros. But Im not nostalgic about those games so I cant really report on how well the game achieves its mission. I can recognize certain specific borrowed features, but whether those elements combine to pay tribute to or desecrate those original experiences is beyond me."

News::Due Process Is The Game Rainbow Six: Siege Will Try To Live Up To

One Angry Gamer "It's completely likely that development for Rainbow Six: Siege will be completed ahead of the game Due Process. It's also completely likely that Rainbow Six: Siege will actually have a solidified release date when the time comes for it to be completed, as opposed to Due Process where it's likely to be finished when it's finished (whenever that might be). However, in the interim, Siege is just a demo. What's more, it's a demo that we don't actually know much about other than that it's a vertical slice of something Ubisoft hopes to achieve. On the opposite end of the spectrum we have Due Process. It's not a demo; it's not a vertical slice; it's in alpha and it's very playable."
