Emergency Eye Wash And Other Strange Things At Valve's Offices

For many people, touring a video game studio is like taking a trip to nerd heaven. Valve let the winners of its 2013 Saxxy Awards film contest peek behind the curtain in this way. The resulting photo gallery that was recently posted online makes the place look about as whacky as you'd expect the company that's made games like Half Life, Team Fortress, and Portal to be.

News::Miiverse gets an update, allows favorite system

The Miiverse is constantly evolving with smaller quality of life updates, and that's just fine by me. Posted on the Miiverse itself, Nintendo has given us info on a new update that adds a few extra features.

Most notably, you can now write posts and comments on multiple lines. Simple, but great in terms of making posts more readable. You can also list your three favorite game genres by going to your User Page, then Profile Settings.

It's a nice way to get people to know you better without giving out too much personal information. The Miiverse has some limitations for sure, but for Nintendo I think it's a great compromise, and a resounding success.

We also get a good look at Ghirahim and The Imprisoned from Skyward Sword in all their glory -- and the former looks to be a really fun fight.

News::Gamers Should Forget About Half-Life 3

An EGMR journalist talks about the Half-Life 3 conundrum in the aftermath of the cancelled Kickstarter Campaign (which was most likely another troll or plea to Valve) and explains why it would be best to forget about the title completely, because gamers aren't getting it and expectation breeds unrealistic hopes. More significantly, in light of that obvious revelation, the bottom line is that the game can't match its expectations.
