News::The Talos Principle Review | Front Towards Gamer

There is no greater manifestation of success in life than exercise, an alluring example of earned reward through hard work and dedication. Put your body through deliberate hell to return a fitter self. Little rules to work with; go out and make yourself sweat, fatigue, and repeat. Embrace and endure physical trials to near peak physical fitness. And you love it. The hypocritical pain of exercise feels great because you know the euphoric rush of elevated heart rate will earn something. Your exercise skills and task efficiency increase, struggles validate through health benefits. That inoperable-looking machine off in the corner evolves to your favorite calorie eraser after time. Stick to your goal and you shall be rewarded.

News::Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris review tomb raiding with friends - Metro

Metro: "We really have no idea where Tomb Raider stands now as a franchise. Thats not meant as a slight in anyway, but an admission of honest ignorance. The 2013 reboot sold well (although apparently not as well as Square Enix wanted) and it was a generally good game. But it bore little resemblance to the previous Tomb Raider games and still failed to give Lara Croft any discernible personality. The only thing we know about sequel Rise Of The Tomb Raider is that its a timed Xbox exclusive, planned to come out the same time as the PlayStation 4s Uncharted 4."

Heck, just look at the previously mentioned games' Steam pages which both have highly positive reviews! Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients is the next chapter of Longbow Games' history but this time they're seeking the help of players directly."

News::Game of Thrones, Episode 1: Iron from Ice - USGamer

USGamer: "Telltale Games have cracked it again. The question? How do you make a game based on a property as complex as HBOs Game of Thrones (yes the TV show, not the books) and not get bogged down by the continuity of several seasons of story? The answer, follow a group of characters that were given but a few paragraphs in the books and barely mentioned on the show, then design an experience around them so you feel like youre living in that world - then throw in a few well placed cameos for good measure."

News::Far Cry 4 almost made me vomit at one point

Destructoid: Far Cry 4 is a lot of fun, but it can leave you feeling pretty sick to your stomach at times. I distinctly remember happening on a family of monkeys in the Himalayan foothills. Pulling out my camera, I marveled at their cherubic faces and adorable squeals. Then I mowed the little guys down in a hail of gunfire, skinned their corpses, and turned 'em into a wallet. Monkey wallets, disgusting as they are, aren't the reason why I'm here today, though. No, it was something else entirely that had me nearly puking all over my floor. As it turns out, Far Cry 4 can be nauseating in a wide variety of ways. One piece of advice: should you ever find yourself stuck in a Kyrati tree, just shout for help and wait until a hunky firefighter comes to rescue you.

News::Fira Soft Discusses Frozen Survival Horror, Kriophobia

Ahmad Khan writes: "Given that we're in the December dog days of Kickstarter funding it's unusual to find a campaign worth taking a closer look at. Case in point, the last few editions of our Kickstarter roundup Weekly Launchpad. Usually they'll be a dozen or more featured campaigns, on top of the 30+ other campaigns. However, the last few editions have been sparse when it comes to featured campaigns. An exception to this trend is Kriophobia from Fira Soft. This survival horror features modern graphics on top of old-school inspired gameplay, something that's strangely lacking in the genre. We recently had an opportunity to speak with Kriophobia's Creative Director, Felipe Modesto, and asked him all about the game."

These things do happen, but they happen outside of crowdfunding as well. However, the best indie game of the year (according to The Game Awards) is a game which first saw success on Kickstarter."

News::Dragon Age: Inquistion: Decisions and Dragons

Technology Tell writes, "Query: If each of the three Dragon Age games took place in different fantasy worlds, would we sense any connection between them? If Dragon Age: Origins was set in Robert Jordans The Wheel of Time, Dragon Age II was set in Ursula K. Le Guins Earthsea, and Dragon Age: Inquisition was set in Terry Goodkinds The Sword of Truth, would we be able to detect any familiarity between the three games? True, each has that distinct Bioware feel: the dialogue choices, the focus on character interaction, the trio of companions that trail behind you wherever you go, the familiar raft of Bioware bugs that endure no matter how many times they change the engine. I suppose the question Im really asking is, if the consistent ideology underlying the series the chantry, the templars, the darkspawn and gray wardens and dwarves and elves and arls enrich the story or weigh it down."

News::The Crew PS4 Review: Bigger Doesn't Always Mean Better - USGamer

USGamer: "Ubisoft has been no stranger to technical issues of late, with Assassin's Creed: Unity creating more than a few headaches for the company. So with that in mind, I've been wondering whether the extremely complex The Crew would also have glitches. And yes it does. In the first three hours of play, I've had no less than two crashes that required a restart. Hopefully these are just teething problems and this trend won't continue. I'll certainly report further issues if they happen. The first item on the agenda for me is to really get a feel of how The Crew's cars drive. After playing Forza Horizon 2 incessantly, my immediate impression is that The Crew's handling engine feels comparatively loose and strangely rubbery right out of the gate."

Its the most detailed and expansive playground a driving game has taken place in for years, and youre free to roam its every highway, dirt track and city block with your friendssounds like a sure thing, right? Well, its also an always-online, plot-driven driving game in which you play a street racer posing as an undercover cop pretending to be a street racer. Who, at times, drives through the wilderness to find comms towers which unlock activities on your map, because Ubisofts nothing if not consistent. Suddenly that sure thing now has a large truck in front of it."
