News::Diehard GameFAN: Company of Heroes 2: The Western Front Armies Review

DHGF: How much you get out of this standalone expansion will depend entirely on how much you enjoy playing Real Time Tactics games online, against other people. Without a campaign mode its just you and your army versus the other players online. Personally I dont really enjoy playing RTS games online, as Im not always fast enough to figure out what the enemy is doing, but dont let that deter you. When the game is working (and read up on that if youre looking to buy, as the original game has had its issues.) its a solid experience.

News::The Wolf Among Us Review Season 1| TechRaptor

There are two words I (Andrew Otton) would use to describe my total experience throughout The Wolf Among Us five episode: rushed and deceiving. Being a big fan of the Fables comics, and Telltales The Walking Dead, I was overjoyed at the idea of Telltale making a game in the Fables universe. I was even more excited when I played through the first episode of Telltales The Wolf Among Us. Everything was there. Bigby, the main character, and Snow seemed to be more or less like those we see in the comics. The story was intriguing and, most importantly, there was a decent amount of player involvement beyond just dialogue options.

News::Concursion - PC Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Concursion really wants to do something different, as it visual style and gameplay could be seen as a love letter to anyone who has ever had multiple ideas for a video game, and was not entirely sure which direction to take things. Starting off, Concursion plays like a simple platformer as the player goes on a journey told through a fairly simple story of Hero trying to rescue the Princess. The gameplay soon shows itself to be more than just a platformer as the hero has to work his way through a variety of stages within each Act. Throughout this journey the player encounters different rifts that not only change the visuals, but also mixes up the gameplay elements, such as new abilities and health gauges. This creates a game that provides pleasantly diverse graphics and gameplay.

News::Sniper Elite 3 Review | GodisaGeek

Mick Fraser: "Sniper Elite 3 is the best example of its genre, full stop. A fantastic sharpshooting experience is interspersed with more considered, more competent stealth and action, and the array of tools and tricks available to Karl Fairburne is impressive indeed. While youre not often able to go for broke and play your own way, there are enough routes through missions and enough open ground to really use the environment to your advantage. Overall, Sniper Elite 3 is a solid shooter that improves on everything that was good about Sniper Elite V2 and ditches most though perhaps not all of the bad. This should go down as a genuine triumph for Rebellion."

GR: At E3 2014, I attended the same Dragon Age: Inquisition that forged the preview from our fellow writer Jessica Vazquez, and as we watched the female Qunari mage on screen fire magical blasts at swooping dragons (swooping is still bad), we both had the same thought: Why isn't this hands-on? All the 30-minute presentation accomplished was whetting our collective appetite for cleansing the continent of Thedas of overzealous templars and sacrilegious blood mages. Luckily, I wouldn't have to wait too long, as BioWare graciously allowed for a hands-on opportunity of the exact E3 demo behind closed doors.

"I tried, I really tried to like Bound By Flame, but I simply couldnt." "Spiders is a little known French developer having made titles in the past such as Of Orcs and Men and well, thats about it. News::Dota 2: Who will be the Most Common Heroes at TI4?

Mike Stubbs: "As much as I love playing Dota 2, my real obsession is with the professional scene. Watching the best players in the world take part in a game that they know every last detail of is fascinating, and the entertainment value matches that of any other sport. Perhaps the most amazing thing about professional Dota is the ever-changing meta. Every professional player knows the exact time to stack ancients, the best trees to juke around, and all the perfect ward locations but something they can never be sure on, is the strongest heroes to pick in each game. A good combination of five heroes can almost win a game before it starts, but getting the perfect draft is nearly impossible. So with the International 4 kicking off, now is the perfect time to look at the current meta and decide which heroes will show up the most."

News::Sunless Sea Preview: The Paddler In Darkness | GamerTell

From the preview, "In the massively overcrowded realm of free-to-play browser games, one name consistently rises to the top, distinguishing itself as the preeminent source of lowered productivity in cubicles the world over: Fallen London. While most browser games only merit a few clicks before being abandoned forever, Fallen London consistently succeeds in capturing players imaginations, and occasionally their money. Its gameplay isnt significantly different than any other story-driven browser game, playing out via a series of Choose Your Own Adventure decisions that slowly add experience points to various attributes, but it distinguishes itself via a fun, engaging narrative communicated in bite-sized chunks of evocative prose. Fallen London is dark but playful, dispensing its influences in a dense layer cake of the Gothic, the Romantic, the Fantastic, and the Horrific to create a seductively mysterious world that constantly beckons you deeper within its airless confines."
