I'm still kind of dazed by tonight's episode of Doctor Who. I can't decide if it's a fantastic work of genius or a shaggy-dog story. Maybe both. But it's clearly Steven Moffat turning all of his favorite tropes up to 11. And I came away feeling, more than ever, as though there's not much point debating Moffat's Who.

According to Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey, it appears that the studio has settled on the number of ranks and Prestige levels that will be achievable in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfares multiplayer. On Twitter, Schofield tweeted this image of what we think is the 7th Prestige symbol. He also wrote, 50/15, which sounds a lot like the number of ranks/prestige levels that will be in the game.

The PlayStation Vita may have been missing in action from Sony's major press conferences this year, but don't mistake that as a sign the company has conceded defeat. Its just changed the battle plan.

Speaking with Eurogamer, PlayStation UK managing director Fergal Gara recognized the Vita is unlikely to ever be a runaway success, but that doesn't mean the portable still can't thrive on its own terms.

"It's trucking along," Gera said. "It's currently in year-on-year growth and enjoying a healthy year, and it's about to hit its biggest and potentially most powerful release of the year, which is Minecraft. That could be an extraordinary release for Vita.

"We're seeing a bit of reflected glory from PS4," he continued. "So there is a traction in remote play, and we see the numbers there. But it's more than that. It's just found its niche.

"It's not the biggest niche in the world, and we've been fairly open about talking about it entered a crowded landscape with many other devices providing some sort of handheld fulfillment. But for those who want that more specialist device and a more specialist experience, it does a damn good job, and therefore it trucks along quite nicely."

The Vita may not be the system we hoped it would be, brimming with console-quality experiences like Killzone: Mercenary and Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but Sony at least seems committed to making the best of an unfortunate situation. Expect to see plenty more smaller games continue to land on the portable.

Josh writes -"Its been more than a decade since I have played some pretty excellent space combat simulation games such as Wing Commander Prophesy and Starlancer. Playing GoD Factory: Wingmen thus felt like a nostalgic return to the genre for me. GoD Factory is primarily a multiplayer 4 on 4 space shooter game where the objective is to be the first to reduce the opponents carrier integrity to zero. While it can simply be played as a traditional space shooter where you just simply concentrate on obliterating enemy gunships as the opposing carrier ships blasts their cannons at each other repeatedly in the background until both carriers are simultaneously destroyed, victory can be achieved much more quickly by destroying key structures on the enemys carrier."

Yet lurking in the shadowy recesses of the internet where few glance at, and even fewer dare to venture, there is another form on mmo gaming that has quietly taken root over the years: ARG mmos or, as they're better known, alternate reality games. This breed of online gaming is markedly different from the standard mmo, which is part of the appeal.

VRFocus - It was a sad day for indie developer Tammeka Games and virtual reality (VR) fans alike when the formers upcoming racing title, Radial-G, failed to secure £50,000 GBP in Kickstarter crowd-funding on 2nd August 2014. The developers promising sci-fi racing title had been championed by a large part of the community including the likes of Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) designer Palmer Luckey himself, but fell short of its target by just over £11,000. At the time the developer assured that it would be seeking alternative means of funding to create the title and today VRFocus can confirm that it has succeeded in its efforts.
