News:: Review: Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! - Full Course

How very fitting for me, that for my first ever review on Destructoid, I would be taking a swing at a Senran Kagura title. I actually first learned about the series right here at Destructoid, and have since become a fan for its fun gameplay and silly albeit lewd humor and presentation.

First released two years ago on the PS Vita (and reviewed by former editor Brittany Vincent), Bon Appétit is a rhythm game that takes all of the clothes-ripping, fan-servicing humor of Senran Kagura, and mixes it together to create a unique style of game. Sure, there's plenty here that could offend the light of heart, but as with any other title in the series, when you get down to the core experience, Full Course is an entertaining game that goes beyond its Vita predecessor.

News:: 'Desert Bus' video game charity kicks off its 10th year

It's a big moment for video game charities: Desert Bus for Hope has launched its 10th annual campaign. As is their custom, the volunteer team will play the Desert Bus mini game from Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors for as long as they can in the name of the Child's Play hospital charity. This year, they're aiming for at least 111 hours -- the more money you donate, the longer they drive on that incredibly boring virtual road between Tucson and Las Vegas. And this year, there are quite a few reasons to check in beyond the usual on-camera antics.

News:: Throwing boiling hot ramen at customers in Japanese VR Game Counter Fight

I started to write this first sentence as "Japan is a country where people really love working, so I'm surprised there aren't more games about working" but then I remembered that RPGs, as much as I love them, are quite a bit like work. Still, you'd expect more actual job simulators. Germany would buy them.

Not an RPG is Tricol's Counter Fight for HTC Vive. Described as a "work simulation," this game gives me some Yoshinoya vibes, but is almost certainly inspired by Job Simulator. You work play (I actually typed "work" instinctively) as a chef at a ramen restaurant, fulfilling various orders of customers, who look like Minecraft characters in Jazzpunk-style art, including different bowls of ramen, cooking gyouza, and pouring beer.

Going through the video I was afraid it would be a standard follow-the-rules game without fail states or being able to do silly things as you can in Job Simulator, such as make intentionally wrong orders or toss things. Luckily good ole Japanese shenanigans are embraced in this game, as it closes showing the player defending his station from robbers as well as hurling maneki-nekos and beer at everyone including the players personal Chinese-dress-adorned cheerleader.

Unlike Job Simulator this is the only job available. I'm curious about finer details such as whether or not the working space changes based on the size of your VR play area. It's unfair to keep comparing it to Job Simulator but it's hard not to. Certainly if you have a Vive laying around and you are looking to goof off at work some more this might cure the itch.

News:: Watch The King Of Catherine Tournament Going On Right Now

Atlus released Catherine over five years ago on Xbox 360 and PS3. The game was never ported to PC or the current generation of consoles, and the 360 version still isn’t backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Despite all of those obstacles, however, there’s still a thriving competitive community around the game.

News:: Kotaku Shop Contest: Sombra's Day Job, Winners!

In the latest Photoshop contest I asked for images of Sombra from her day job before getting the call up to join the rest of her Overwatch comrades.. The contestants apparently took this very literally. As the game’s hacker extraordinaire, she no doubt probably spent at least a few of her days refreshing Newegg while answering the IT Help Desk phones.

News:: Weekend Deals: Watch Dogs 2 last minute offers & new Xbox One S bonuses

Next week Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 hits the shelves and as is customary we've rounded up  discounts and bonus offers just ahead of release. In addition to the pre-order bonus Zodiac Killer DLC pack, you'll also get a $10 bonus Gift Code at the Microsoft Store. The Microsoft deal is valid on the Standard, Deluxe, and Gold editions of the game and even the Standard Edition download code, which allows you to pre-load and play on day 1.

On PC the game doesn't just have a gift card bonus, but they do come with a 20% price break. The retailer you'll need to visit is GMG, where you'll find a $12 drop to $47.99. No coupons or other hoops to jump through, just straight up savings from an authorized digital retailer. The PC version, of course, has been delayed to November 29 for further optimization.

While there are a ton of other deals listed below, we'll start off with the noteworthy bits. The just released PlayStation 4 Pro is $399.99 on Antonline's eBay page where they're tossing in a bonus $20 PlayStation Network Card for good measure. Another good alternative offer on eBay Deals is for $419.99 for the PS4 Pro where you also get an extra new PS4 wireless controller - that's a $60 value for a $20 higher price tag. If that's all too rich for your blood, the PS4 Slim can also be found on eBay Deals for its usual $299.99 but with a $50 eBay gift card bonus - good towards anything on eBay in the future.

News:: Deals blog: Meat. Delivered to your door

What does meat have to do with videogames, you say? Oh, c'mon. Surely you've whipped a cinder block or two in your childhood that somehow produced an energy-filling pork chop. If heroes of old haven't protein-reinforced your walls and you're still going to the store to find good meat at full price, well then you’re not living the dream. Sit on the couch and magically teleport the meat party directly to you through the wonders of the Internet. That’s exactly what ButcherBox does: They deliver chunks of high-quality meat right to your door. Want in? I’ve gotten Butcher Box to stock the Destructoid Store full of meat, and they’ve knocked down the price by up to 49%.
